for the little ones...
for the teachers...
Preschool Valentine's Day parties are a lot of fun, and this year the smart teachers at my boys' school have asked that we avoid giving candy as gifts.
So, while I was on the hunt for a fun (non-sugar) alternative, I walked though the dollar section at Target and noticed a pile of Valentine's Day socks. It just so happens that new socks are one of my favorite little pleasures in life, so I ran with that idea. The large (economy) packs of socks for the kiddos were the easiest solution in terms of numbers, and then I went with the festive $1 socks for the teachers.
Each pair of socks has a tag attached that reads "we make a great pair" (leaving enough room for the boys to write their names). The tags are printed on white card stock a glued to a second (slightly larger) piece of red card stock.
A free PDF download of the tags is available below if you would like to make "a pair" for your Valentine's this year!
Materials:
- "great pair" Free PDF download (makes 10 tags)
- white card stock (to print tags on)
- colored card stock (background color) - cut to 2" X 3.5"
- ribbon (~15 inches for each tag)
- hole punch
- glue
- socks
(To print correctly: click the link above, when that page opens, click "print (1 page)" at the top left corner of the page - this will allow you to open the PDF file and then print @ 100% - full page)
